Not terrible but disappointing. The animosity towards the Young brothers leaps off the page yet the author gives only limited details as to why.

What disappointed you about Bon: The Last Highway? This was just a very long, drawn out account that goes into way too much detail. Real fans will probably love it. Not for the casual rock fan. Has Bon: The Last Highway turned you off from other books in this genre? How could the performance have been better? Not sure. Great book if you are interested in the band. A bit too much speculation and conspiracy theories for me, but that is far outweighed by valuable and interesting information about the band.

Especially interesting to me were the many insights about the band's early tours of the United States and how they broke into the big time in North America. Highly recommend! Buyer beware. I'm not one of those, and was hoping for something more like a bio. In any case, even if this was the untold story of the last part of Bon's life, at least it could have read more like a story rather than, as the headline reads, a police report full of quotes of people from recent interviews talking about an event that happened forty years ago.
