Ie download file may be deleted
The only odd thing is that it works some of the time. If I use Google Chrome it works fine but we rely on IE for a lot of inhouse applications so other browsers are not an option.
I am at a loss and looking for any insight. I have this same problem on several computers and while you can just click the link again or click 'Retry' on the Downloads menu, it shouldn't work this way.
Your developers should only see one request made for the tiff resource I expect that on IE without a type attribute with the correct mime-type, they will see two if the file is not already cached. The checkbox was already unchecked. I reset the Security Zones to default, however our GP restricts some of the settings that I can change. That being said, I still have the same problem. Unfortunately I cannot give you the website to try as it is an intranet site and we do not allow outside access.
Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information. Both of them have the same file format, and the difference between the two display names just depends on your system version. Therefore, it is not a problem, take it easy. If it works fine in Internet Explorer 8 and Internet 9, you can use Compatibility View to download this link.

I know that tiff and tif are the same other than the extra letter, I was just thinking that for some reason IE is looking for the tiff when the tif is really what it wants.
Its just confusing that it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. This will allow you to open a window directly to the file you want to remove. Click the "Show in folder" link for the file you want to delete. Click the Folder button to open the folder that the download is located in.
Click the link in the Location column for the file you want to delete. Drag the file to your Recycle Bin. Alternatively, you can select the file and press Delete, or right-click on the file and select "Delete".
If your file cannot be deleted, it is because it is in use by another program. This is most common with file-sharing programs, as someone may be trying to download the file from you. Close any programs that may be using the file and try again. I can't delete the file. If Windows will not let you delete the file, it is likely because it is in use by another program.
This is typically the case if you downloaded the file through BitTorrent and are still seeding it, or you have already opened it in another program. Click here if you're still having trouble deleting the file. Method 2. Open your Downloads folder. You can access the Downloads folder from your Dock, as well as in the sidebar of any Finder window. This is the default location that most apps will download files to. If you've changed the download location in any of your app's Preferences menu, you'll want to check the location you specified.
Find the file you want to delete. Browse through your Downloads folder until you find the file that you want to remove. Narrow your search to disk image files. Mac programs are downloaded as DMG files, which are disk image files that contain the program. When you install a program, the DMG file remains in your Downloads folder, taking up space. In the search bar in the upper-right corner, type disk image and select "Disk Image" from the "Kinds" section.
This will limit the display to just DMG files, allowing you to quickly clear a lot of space. Changing where files go from within your web browser is the first step but you can also make changes at a system level as well. If you want to make changes to where downloads go from within Windows 10, it only takes a couple of steps to change the location. Changing the location of your downloads folder makes sure you know where downloads are going each time so that you can avoid losing them in the future.
Open file explorer and right-click on the downloads folder. You will see a path which you can change so that your files will download to a different location. Step 5. Not only can this make it easier to find amongst other folders, but can add some personality to your computer.
Never lose the location of your downloads again! Yes, you can! Using data recovery software will allow you to recover files even if they have been accidentally deleted from your computer. Keep in mind it is best to recover them as soon as you notice that the file has been lost or deleted.
When you clear your downloads folder your files will go to the recycling bin. You can restore them from there but if the recycling bin has been emptied, you will have to use data recovery software to get them back onto your computer. It is not a good idea to delete the downloads folder as it can cause system issues with your computer and there is no beneficial reason to remove it. You may have to restart the computer after you apply this cumulative update.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. Learn about the terminology that Microsoft uses to describe software updates. There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found. Need more help?
Expand your skills. Get new features first. Find centralized, trusted content and collaborate around the technologies you use most. Connect and share knowledge within a single location that is structured and easy to search. Works great everywhere except for people downloading. I have tested this on IE 8 and 7. If running a local webserver you can test by putting notepad.
It should save the file as notepad, without extension. Is this a 'feature' because googling it is coming up with nothing. Thanks to the whole issue of IE extensions, you can't search for anything on file extensions.
Also, if the file has multiple periods in the name, it sometimes gets a [1] or [] added to the end. Any ideas?
